ART Station proudy presents
"A Tour of Southern Ghosts"

Atlanta's favorite family Halloween event will be presented for the 23rd year by
ART Station at Georgia's Stone Mountain Park.

"A Tour of Southern Ghosts" is a storytelling festival that showcases the best ghost stories from the South. For 13 nights this fall, some 15,000 visitors will be guided on a lantern-lit tour of yesteryear vividly brought to life through the grand tradition of Southern storytelling.

Nestled against the backdrop of Stone Mountain, costumed storytellers - all attired in 19th-century period costumes - recreate the romance, the horror and humor of the past with a magically bewitching bend.  These professional storytellers are from different cultural backgrounds and tell a collection of Southern folktales, myths and legends.  Join the Atlanta family tradition and meet professional storytellers spinning their tales of famous (and not so famous) Southern Ghosts along the lantern-lit paths of the Antebellum Plantation grounds at Stone Mountain Park. "A Tour of Southern Ghosts" is held during the Halloween season so the stories are a little scary, many times humorous, but never too frightening and always appropriate for young children.

"A Tour of Southern Ghosts" is produced by ART Station, Inc., a not-for-profit, contemporary arts center.  The center features a professional theatre company, visual arts galleries and an arts education program.  ART Station's outreach program serves DeKalb County schools and Metro-Atlanta Boys & Girls Clubs.  The education program has an enrollment of over 500 students.
Over 50,000 patrons participate in ART Stations programs yearly.
