ART STATION PRESENTS

“Mama Makes Up Her Mind

and Other Dangers of Southern Living”

by Bailey White, adapted for the stage by David Thomas

July 13 - August 14, 2005

Coming back by popular demand September 15-18

Welcome to the unique and wonderful world of Bailey White where there is a red sports car and a plumbed up bath tub on the front porch.  Visit overstuffed homes, meet fascinating neighbors,

and of course, Bailey’s Mama-who may take you to Rosey’s, a juke joint so scary that
Ernest Hemingway vowed never to return.  Bailey White’s indelible vignettes of

Southern eccentricity have entranced the millions who have heard her read them on
National Public Radio.  “White clearly knows the business of telling a ripping good tale…”

-Washington Post Book World

“Mama Makes Up Her Mind” stars Karen Howell as Bailey White and Judy Leavell as Mama.
The ART Station production will feature direction by David Thomas
