The mission of the Teen Honors Performance Company is to provide professional training to young, aspiring actors who are entering their Junior or Senior year of high school for the upcoming 2011/2012 school year. This honors program provides training in audition techniques to the selected students and the instruction is provided by an Actor’s Equity Association professional. Actor’s Equity Association is the professional actors union in the United States for actors and stage managers.
What you need to know . . .
� Young actors are admitted to the program by audition only.
� Auditions are by appointment only (NO WALK-INS) and are scheduled for Saturday, May 7th beginning at 1:00 p.m. Please call ART Station at 770-469-1105 to make an appointment.
� All students auditioning must prepare & perform a one minute comic monologue and a one minute dramatic monologue. All monologues must be memorized. No singing is required and no stage props or scripts will be allowed for the audition.
� Students who auditioned will be notified of the results of their audition within one week.
� Selected participants must agree to attend classes at ART Station July 25th through July 29th from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. each day.
� The final day of the Teen Honors Performance Company, July 29, 2011, will culminate in an audition performance for parents, family and friends.
� Each selected actor/student will receive free tuition but a $40.00 activity fee is required.
