ART Station Adult Education

Spring Classes 2008

All classes begin the week of April 26 and run through the week of May 24

Adults:

Oil Painting: Tuesdays 10:30 am – 12:30 pm: 4 sessions. Join artist Nancy Knight for a fun class emphasizing techniques in Oil Painting. Explore composition and color management as we work on landscape and still-life paintings. Paintings will be completed during class time. $80 members, $90 non-members. Supply list upon registration.

Pottery: Tuesday 6:00- 7:30 pm: Beginning and intermediate potters will learn the basics of pottery. This class is primarily handbuilding/sculpting, but pottery wheels are available. Angela Williams welcomes all newcomers and will guide students= study. Come and enjoy this class that can both relax and excite! $70 members, $80 non-members, $10 fee for firing and 1 bag of clay.

 Workshops 

Fiction Writing: Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm, Lunch is included.  April 26 : Join writer/editor Nancy Knight in this fun class. Class will discuss character, theme, setting, point of view, query letters, agents, editors, etc. Be prepared to work hard in this laughter laden, work intensive class. $100 members, $110 non-members. Supplies: Workbook to be purchased at class $10, plus pen and paper

Workshop: Darkness to Light: Saturday May 17, 9 am B12 pm. For professionals involved with programs for children and youth, Darkness to Light is a training program which offers easily utilized strategies to protect children from sexual victimization at your facility. This program is essential for churches, schools, day care centers and other facilities responsible for children. Join facilitator, Nancy Knight for this informative session. Supplies fee $15. $50 members, $60 non-members.

Date Night Pottery: Saturday 7 B 8:30 pm: An evening for romanceCor just reconnecting with someone you care about. Spend a Saturday evening playing in the clay. Add in a little nice music, a glass of wine, some cheese and you=ve got the perfect recipe for a social evening you=ll talk about for weeks. Classes held the second and fourth Saturday each month. $50 per pair per session.
